Big news for Mr. and future Mrs. Bailey

Well, it's finally happened... we put an offer on a house and, surprisingly, it got accepted! Which means that come December 17th, the property at 8 Indian Spring Road in Ashland, Massachusetts, will belong to Jason and Erin. So after three months of looking, we decided to buy the second house we'd actually seen. (Three months back we looked at it when it was $10,000 more than the current asking price.) So that's the news, kids... we got ourselves a house! No, there's no alley behind it, but there is an old railroad bed. Do with that what you will... there's also a spring that pops up in the spring. Springs in spring at Indian Spring. Yeah.

We're very excited. There's some work that still needs to be done, like, oh, a new roof. But after the intial fix-its are done, we'll have a beautiful home with a really nice backyard right near a state park and Mobile station! Weeee!

Holy Crap! Congratulations! Nice to see a photo of a house you like without a big red X over it.

I'm sure you'll have lots of Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew style mysteries down "by the ol' railroad bed".

I know I've already congratulated you both individually, but here I am to do it publicly. I know the folks in the alley are going to miss you two, but I'm ready to welcome you to MetroWest!

Cool pic, Erik! Is that the farmhouse I see in the lower left-hand corner? I think it is...

And yes, it has a basement. Right now there's lots of Ken's Steakhouse salad dressing bottles on the floor, as well as a ping pong table. The current homeowner disclosed to us that he and his friend used to play, and "we'd take off our shirts, and we'd be sweatin' and slammin'..." Yikes.
