Back door, huh? Good idea.

Hey all. Time for me to invite you over for card playing. Come one, come all. But when you do, come in the back door, okay? There was a break in next door, like the next door that is separated from our place by just a wall. The burglars could have decided which place to break into based on eeny meeny, a coin flip, or rock paper scissors, who knows? We got lucky, I guess. Of course, Josh and I don't really have anything of tremendouse value. The bad guys took some watches and jewelry from our neighbors' place. Makes me wonder, though, if people who don't have jewelry assume that everybody else does have some. Either way, there's going to be a new lock put on the outside front door and it will be locked pretty much all the time. So, come one, come all. But when you do, come in the back door, okay?

Big news for Mr. and future Mrs. Bailey

Well, it's finally happened... we put an offer on a house and, surprisingly, it got accepted! Which means that come December 17th, the property at 8 Indian Spring Road in Ashland, Massachusetts, will belong to Jason and Erin. So after three months of looking, we decided to buy the second house we'd actually seen. (Three months back we looked at it when it was $10,000 more than the current asking price.) So that's the news, kids... we got ourselves a house! No, there's no alley behind it, but there is an old railroad bed. Do with that what you will... there's also a spring that pops up in the spring. Springs in spring at Indian Spring. Yeah.

We're very excited. There's some work that still needs to be done, like, oh, a new roof. But after the intial fix-its are done, we'll have a beautiful home with a really nice backyard right near a state park and Mobile station! Weeee!

For any and all interested.

We're still playing poker on Thursdays in the 'Ham. Everybody, as usual, is welcome. But, if you have an annoying friend who makes tasteless jokes and is really loud and wants to come, who when he comes he takes our money on top of being a jerk and constantly splashing the pot and wishing out loud that we were playing for higher stakes every time he rakes a win and complaining endlessly whenever he would've won a hand he'd folded, don't bring that friend. Somebody brought that friend on Tuesday, now I'm down $3, and some others are down even more. Playing serious is okay, and winning is awesome, but you gots to keep it friendly...

I didn't create this (but wish I did).
